Ogden has an older housing profile than most of the Wasatch Front. The Historic 25th Street district and the surrounding grid hold a large stock of pre-1940 homes, many with original masonry fireplaces later converted to gas, while the east bench and the newer neighbourhoods toward North Ogden carry factory-built direct-vent units.
